Athanasse Zafirov

As an analyst in finance and economics, Athanasse Zafirov draws on diverse experience in research, data evaluation, and modeling. He has focused his expertise on macroeconomics, both at the domestic and international levels, and has authored several papers on the topic. Athanasse Zafirov presented a paper on wealth distribution between generations at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) Macro Readings, where he also expanded his subject knowledge as a presentation attendee. Mr. Zafirov entered economics as a professional in 2014 when he became an analyst with Letko-Brosseau and Associates. He served within the firm’s fixed income and economics division for two years, then became an equities analyst with Vigilant Global Trade Services in Montreal. Responsible for maintaining and reporting data on emerging markets, he focused on the utilities, energy, and materials sectors. Athanasse Zafirov has also taken an active role with the John Molson Accounting Society (JMAS). He has served as a capital markets analyst, preparing presentations for discussions on stock performance and financial markets, and as a stock simulation organizer. He also built and maintained the JMAS website, having gathered knowledge of multiple programming languages and technical tools.
